Cohasset is 26.7 miles from Boston Common. It is bordered by Hingham to its west, Hull to its north and Scituate to the south. It is serviced by the MBTA Commuter Rail’s Greenbush Line. Cohasset has one of the most spectacular and picturesque coastal roads along Massachusetts Bay with high rocky cliffs protecting most properties on the road. Atlantic Avenue that continues along the coast as Jerusalem Avenue may be classified as having world class properties and many cliffside locations with commanding views of Massachusetts Bay. The topography inland is varied and from many elevations offers views of the ocean. The village has shops and restaurants and the town has many colonial era homes. The town common is the site of a Colonial era church that was used in the filming of The Witches of Eastwick. Its well-protected port offers easy access for boaters to Massachusetts Bay and its town beach is one of the finest on the South Shore.
