A city rich in history known as the City of Presidents because two United States presidents called Quincy home, John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams. Near its center is a National Park with the family home of the Adams’. It is also known as the Granite City, as it is home to granite quarries. Formerly a large shipbuilding center, it has many beautiful and varied neighborhoods that are served by public transportation and is a nearby suburb of Boston. One such neighborhood is Squantum.
Squantum is an island connected by a causeway with excellent views of Boston Harbor. Some of Quincy’s most luxurious homes are in Squantum and although some are waterfront properties, they are at elevations above those in a flood plain. The community has a broad range of single-family homes.
